The new corporate restaurant and services centre at Bioindustry Park in Colleretto Giacosa is a dynamic and modular structure of over 1,000 m2. There is also an outdoor area, which will be opened in the summer, and a further 600+ m2 for future projects, sport and recreation.
After 12 months of work and an overall investment of around 1.2 million euros, Bioindustry Park has resumed its directors’ development and expansion plans to make the Park increasingly attractive, liveable and full of opportunities, as well as in response to the growing numbers of users and requests for space in the Park.
More than one service
The new corporate restaurant produces over 500 meals a day and has over 12 employees working every day. In addition to the canteen services, there is also a space for business meetings and various communal areas for coworking and creativity.
Covering around 7 hectares, 2.4 of which housing laboratories, workshops, offices and pilot plants, Bioindustry Park is home to over 40 organizations, including big multinationals, small and medium enterprises, start-ups and research centres, with a total of over 550 employees. The Park continues to grow as new investments are made.
Alongside the structural extensions, the building of the restaurant and services centre is also freeing up space for newcomers to the Park. The site of the old canteen in fact has now been taken up by Fondazione ITS Biotecnologie e Nuove Scienze della Vita, which will provide training/work courses recognized at national and European level for high school diploma holders. It will take in over 50 students who will be able to learn in an ideal context, in close contact with businesses, research centres and the scientific community. The inspiration behind all this is that of an industry park that’s more like a campus.
